MAY THE 4TH BE WITH YOU!

Each year, as part of the band's community outreach, we welcome up to 50 talented area high school musicians to join us, playing a "Side-by-Side" program. The Allentown Band is very excited to announce that the 2025 Side-by-Side Concert, Sunday May 4th at Miller Symphony Hall, Allentown,  features the music of John Williams.  Many of the selections for this program have been recorded by the band on Volume 31 of the "Our Band Heritage" series. Some of these can be heard on the our YouTube channel, John Williams Playlist . We welcome Lt. Colonel Michael Hoerber, Director of Operations of The USAF Band as Guest Conductor, and Master Sgt. Youth and Family Concert Announced - The Universe at an Exhibition

  Allentown Band presents The Universe at an Exhibition Saturday, November 01, 2025, 2:00 pm ALLENTOWN BAND 2025 FAMILY CONCERT Ronald Demkee, conductor Jose Francisco Salgado, PhD, astronomer The “Universe at an Exhibition” consists of a live performance of “Pictures at an Exhibition” by the Allentown Band, accompanied by a high-definition science film produced specifically for Mussorgsky’s masterwork. The presentation connects astronomy, photography, and music to enhance understanding. The Award-Winning Film features images, animations, and science visualizations from NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), the National Center for Supercomputing Applications (NCSA), as well as historical illustrations aimed to inspire audiences to encourage them to learn more about the music and the universe.
