 As was previously announced ( https://theallentownband-americasoldest.blogspot.com/2024/05/ron-demkee-honored-as-acb-outstanding.html ) Ron was honored as one of two recipients of the 2024 Outstanding Conductor Award by the ACB. Ron received his plaque during our "Americans We" concert on November 17, 2024, presented by Chris Wilhjelm, the ACB Outstanding Conductor Award Selection Committee Chair, as the band rose with the audience to applaud Ron's decades of service.
